Laundry, the gift that just keeps on giving. Even the days when you manage to do all of it, and you feel awesome because you didn’t forget to switch a load once, somehow there is always more. But this is all okay because we have found a few hacks that will make your laundry days a little less overwhelming.
1. Clean the inside of your washer and dryer.
This is something that I don’t think many of us think of. Just cleaning the inside of your dryer can help it dry your clothes fast and more efficiently. The same goes for cleaning out your washer. You clothes will end up coming out cleaner and smelling much better just by doing something as simple as wiping out your washer and dryer.
2. DIY Fabric Softener
You can save a ton of money with a DIY fabric softener. When it gets to the final rinse cycle, just add between ½ a cup and 1 cup of white vinegar (depending on the size of the load.) This is so simple and it really will save you money. We definitely suggest it.

3. Avoid permanent stains by washing them right after they get stained, instead of waiting until you put a load in.
Stains are awful and it is so easy to just want to put them aside and forget about them. We get it. But, if you really want to get rid of the stains, the easiest way is to treat them as soon as they happen. When you baby has a blow out, or when you get raspberry on you shirt, don’t wait till you can put a load in. Instead you can wash it out right away. Hot water, soap, and even a little stain remover can go a long way, and it won’t take you very long at all.
4. How to make your whites even brighter...and you don’t have to use bleach.
So the best way to keep your whites bright is to wash them in hot water separate from your other clothes. We would also suggest hanging up your white out in the sun to dry. It will really do wonders for their color. You can all make them whiter by simply add ½ cup of white vinegar mixed with a gallon of water during the wash cycle.
5. Have you thought about using multiple laundry containers?
This is something that will make doing laundry a bit simpler when it comes time. You can set out multiple bins in your laundry room each specified as darks, whites, and bright colors. That way all your clothes are already separated when you want to put a load in.

6. You don’t have to wash your jeans every single time you wear them.
One thing to remember is that your jeans don’t need to be washed every single time that you wear them. They will last you a few wears before needing to be washed again. It is something so simple that will definitely save you a bit of time and money.
