Date Night - Three Ideas You're Sure to Love

Date nights are so important because it’s time specifically dedicated to only you and your significant other. Every day is filled with To-Do lists and far too often does that one-on-one time get pushed to the back burner. Well, we want to challenge you and your significant other to set time aside this week to go on a date. Find a babysitter, if you have kids, and make date night a priority.
Sometimes we forget that a date doesn't have to be at night. Typically it is more convenient if it is, but if that doesn't work for you this week, make a date for lunch. Or at least during that lunch hour. We promise it will be worth it.
We have come up with a list of 3 date ideas that we really think you will love:
1. Meet at the ice cream shop for lunch, order a sundae to share, and reminisce about the days when you two started dating.
It sounds cheesy, we know, but who doesn't love ice cream? And it is a fun way to distract the two of you from talking about your kids, or work, or anything that might be stressing you out at the moment. Leave that stuff at the door, and just focus on the two of you, in the moment, enjoying that hot fudge.
2. Dress up and go out for a night on the town.
Now this is probably a typical date night for most of us. However there are a few ways you can make it pretty special. For example, make a reservation beforehand, even days in advance, so that you don't end up waiting for an hour and a half. If the restaurant is any good, it's going to be super busy so plan ahead. There is a super cool app called OpenTable. It allows you to make reservations ahead of time. It makes is so easy to find the perfect restaurant so that you don't waste an hour trying to figure out where you are going to eat. Surprise your significant other with something they weren't expecting, like tickets to a show they've been wanting to see, or basketball tickets to a game they've been eyeing. You can even try something more simple like stocking the freezer with their favorite ice cream before you leave so that when you get back you can surprise them with it. It can be as simple or as elaborate as you like, just make an effort and we promise you won't regret it. If you enjoy going to the movies we would definitely suggest getting MoviePass. It is so awesome because for only $9.95 a month you can see 3 movies each month. It normally costs at least that just to see one movie so it's definitely a good deal.
3. Stay home, order in, and turn on a movie.
Sometimes all we really want to do is relax on the couch and snuggle with our significant other, without any interruption. Our suggestion is this: if you have kids, put them to bed a little early one night, if not, just turn off your phones. Order in some food that you both love. Then turn on a movie that you both will enjoy. Maybe you would rather just talk which is great as well. But if you're both exhausted, do whatever is relaxing to you, just do it together. You don't always have to leave the house for a date night. Just make sure that when you are together, try to focus on the two of you and enjoy the rest of the night together.
Now we can't forget about those babysitters.
Finding ways to entertain the little ones isn't always easy, but one thing that's sure to work is story time. Beddy's just came out with new children's book that they will definitely love! It's called Roary's lost tooth. And the best part is, it's FREE! We have 4 books available to download for free.
