5 Tips For An Easy Bedroom Makeover

We know that everyone can appreciate a good bedroom makeover, but we also realize that it can come with a large price tag. Well we have come up with a list of 5 ways that you can drastically change your space without spending a ton of money.

1. Brand new bedding!

(You can find our Chic White Beddy's set here.)

We can’t think of a better way to totally transform a bedroom space than by simply changing the bedding. The bed is usually a strong focal point of the room and so just changing that will make a wonderful difference. And you know what bedding with make the most of a difference? Our Beddy’s sets! They are perfect for revamping a new space, because not only are the designs gorgeous and super fun, but their functionality will make your life so much easier. What is better than that? 2. Paint your walls white.

Now we completely understand if white walls aren’t your thing, but for many it is a huge improvement! White walls give you a blank slate and give you the freedom to decorate the room however you please. They are simple and beautiful. This is something so easy you can do and it won’t cost a lot of time or money. Just set a Saturday aside and paint your bedroom. You can even turn it into a family activity!

Click here to find a blog post by Simply Designing. It’s called “Tips To Quickly Paint  a Room.” There you will find really easy ways to get started on this project.

3. Revamp the decor.

Sometimes all you need to do is change up your decor a little bit. Take a good look at the decor in your room. Does it follow a certain theme? Do you even like it? Is any of it worth keeping? Once you figure that out you can decide what you want to toss or sale, and what you want to keep. Then you can decide if there is a certain type of decor you want to go for. Do you like all things beachy or maybe you want stuff that is more feminine. There are lots of ways you can go with decor. One thing we want to suggest is taking a look at TJ Maxx. If you hit it at the right time, they might have the decor you are looking for and you’ll get a great deal!

4. Consider new curtains or other window coverings.

This is another really easy change. Curtains can get old and dingy super fast. If you don’t have curtains or even want them, that’s fine too, but if you do have them, take a good look at their condition. They have quite a few options for curtains that will block out all of the light. That is something you really might want to consider if you have trouble sleeping or just appreciate sleeping without any light coming in. You can find these curtains anywhere, and switching out old ones for new ones really will make a wonderful difference.

5. Lighten up your furniture with new paint.

This is a project that will take a little more time, but is certainly much cheaper than buying all new furniture for your bedroom. Honestly with most old furniture, you really can’t go wrong with a new paint job. Unless it’s a family heirloom, a new paint job really might be worth it. You can go all white. That will really brighten up the room and give it that transformation you were hoping for. But honestly even just re-painting it the same color will give it that change you need. It will look so much better and you will feel like your furniture is brand new!
