Beddy's Festival of Trees: Blanket of Hope

November 28, 2023

Happy Giving Tuesday!

The Beddy’s team feels so lucky to work at such an amazing place! Not only do we all LOVE our Beddy’s, but we have the benefit of having the two most amazing bosses in the entire world. We feel so lucky to work for Angie and Betsy. They not only created a company that makes our customer’s lives easier through ingenious products, but Angie and Betsy also created a workplace that makes employees lives better through their generosity, compassion, and amazing spirit.

So what on earth do you get the two people who have given you so much for Christmas?

This year, the Beddy’s team decided to gift our amazing owners, Angie and Betsy, with a sponsored tree in Beddy’s name at the Festival of Trees. The Festival of Trees is a Utah-based organization where all proceeds benefit Primary Children’s Hospital. The team at Beddy’s purchased the tree and its woodland decorations to be donated to the festival.

Our festival tree is themed Wrapped in a Blanket of Hope and features three of our beautiful Beddy’s blankets: the Winter Blanket, the Remington Blanket, and the River Blanket, each embroidered with “Hope”. Blankets are especially important to Beddy’s. We even made a special blanket just for gifting to someone that’s hurting to let them know that you are thinking of them and wishing them comfort.

We chose to theme our tree around Hope because so many employees and members of the Beddy’s community have been impacted by suicide. We have lost partners and nephews and friends and more. While too many of us know firsthand the grief of suicide, we also know the importance of sustaining hope through unbearable pain. We were inspired by the organization the Hope Squad, which is a youth peer-to-peer prevention program. We hope our tree is a reminder to always be generous in spirit to those around you, as you never know what someone is going through.

Just like a cozy blanket, remember to wrap those in your community with warmth, compassion, and understanding. We HOPE that you have a wonderful holiday season, and remember to reach out to those you love with a reminder of how important they are to you.
And, of course, Happy Holidays, Betsy and Angie! We love you and are so grateful for your generosity.
