This photo is from a blog post written by our friend Jennifer at Dear Lillie has gone nuts!  Everyone loved this upholstered daybed! Here is the link to her blog post with all the room details. This is our Vintage Blush ll bedding! See how nice and tucked in it stays?

  • The Pros:
    • It provides both seating and a place to sleep.
    • Most of these beds have armrests that allow you to lounge comfortably.
    • Some come with storage underneath which is a huge plus!
    • It can also be used as a couch or a chaise in a living room.
  • The Cons:
    • It needs a supportive back wall for the entire length of the bed.
    • It might need additional wall space if the backboard isn’t supportive enough.

The Murphy Bed:

(You can find the bed here.)

  • The Pros:
    • It allows you more free space which is a great plus for a small room.
    • You don’t have to buy any box springs.
    • Easy to use.
    • Has an attached mattress.
  • The Cons:
    • It should be installed by a professional.
    • It might automatically close while you are sleeping if improperly installed.

The Bunk Bed:

(Similar bunk bed here. You can find the Sketched Beddy's set here. You can find the Checked Out Beddy's set here. You can find the Check Mate Beddy's blanket here.)

  • The Pros:
    • Saves you space.
    • Kids love them.
    • Saves you money because you don’t have to buy an extra bed, or box springs.
    • There are tons of designs to choose from.
    • Some give you the option of detaching so you can have two separate beds if you want.
  • The Cons:
    • Making the bed is awful.
    • Safety concerns.

The Platform Bed:

(You can find a similar bed here. You can find the Dash Beddy's set here. You can find the Spotted Beddy's blanket here.)

This platform bed was BUILT buy our friends at Shanty 2 Chic.  You've gotta check out their blog if you're looking to build your own bed here.

  • The Pros:
    • Saves you money because you don’t have to buy a box spring.
    • You can use whatever type of mattress you would like.
    • They have so many different designs.
    • Many prefer to sleep on these because of the firm, flat design.
    • Some come with storage underneath.
  • The Cons:
    • They are usually at a low height.
    • You have to spend more money on the mattress to make it look more appealing.
    • Hard to transport from one place to another.

The Loft Bed:

(You can find a similar bed here. You can find the Checked Out Beddy's set here. You can find the Check Mate blanket here.)

This adorable room with a loft bed was done by our friend Annie and you can read the post here. This is our Game On Gray bedding which has been such a popular design for college dorm bedding.

  • The Pros:
    • Fun for kids. It gives them a fun place to play.
    • You can put a desk underneath when the kids are older and it gives them a fun place to do their homework.
  • The Cons:
    • Safety issues.
    • Should be installed properly or it could fall down.
    • You have to make sure the height is just right because as your kids grow they run the risk of hitting their head on the ceiling.

The Trundle Bed:

(You can find the bed from RC Willey here.)

This is another view of how our bedding looks on a daybed with a trundle bed.  This is our top selling Chic White zipper bedding.

  • The Pros:
    • Allows you to be able to have two beds, but save the space since one can roll right under the other.
    • Some models offer storage as well.
    • You don’t need to buy a box spring.
  • The Cons:
    • The mattress on the bottom usually has to be smaller in order to fit.
    • Making the bed is awful.
    • It is great for guests, but not the best long term solution for your kids or yourself.

We hope this helps you find the right match to your specific needs. One thing that most of the beds have in common is that they do make it difficult to make the bed. Beddy’s zipper bedding is the perfect solution. All you have to do is zip it back up and you are done! Making the bed has never been easier. Click here to find your new Beddy’s set. We offer a variety of color and design with our bedding sets. This makes our bedding perfect for any need that you might have.
